Netflix has announced a new creative collaboration with comedian and content creator Samay Raina, bringing the second season of India’s Got Latent and an upcoming stand-up comedy special to the streaming platform. The new season will premiere on Saturday and will be released simultaneously on Netflix and YouTube, with fresh episodes arriving every two weeks.

The announcement follows days of speculation among fans after teaser posts from Netflix and Samay Raina sparked curiosity on social media.

According to Netflix, the second season of India’s Got Latent will adopt a unique distribution model by streaming simultaneously on both Netflix and YouTube. The platform said new episodes of the show will be released fortnightly.

In a promotional video released ahead of the premiere, Raina said the show’s format would remain largely unchanged. He jokingly remarked that Netflix viewers would experience the same show, except without advertisements and a comment section.

The latest season arrives more than a year after the show became the subject of controversy following remarks made during an episode. Comments by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia in February 2025 sparked widespread criticism and led to multiple FIRs being filed against individuals involved in the episode.

Alongside the return of India’s Got Latent, Netflix also confirmed that Samay Raina’s new stand-up comedy special is currently in development. The special will be released exclusively on the platform and is expected to feature the comedian’s signature style of observational humour, storytelling and reflections on everyday life.

Further details regarding the special are expected to be announced at a later stage.

Raina has emerged as one of India’s most prominent comedy creators in recent years, building a strong audience through stand-up performances, digital content, podcasts, gaming streams and live events.

The comedian first gained national recognition after winning the second season of Comicstaan in 2019 and has since expanded his presence across multiple entertainment formats.

With the return of India’s Got Latent and a new stand-up special in the pipeline, Netflix’s partnership with Samay Raina signals a major expansion of the comedian’s digital footprint and is expected to further strengthen his position in India’s evolving entertainment landscape.
