Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin are scheduled to hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the upcoming BRICS summit in Kazan. According to official sources, this will mark their second bilateral meeting this year and their third since 2022, following the Ukraine conflict. The two leaders last met at the SCO Samarkand Summit. Modi will visit Russia from October 22 to 23 to attend the 16th BRICS Summit, themed “Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security.”
The Ministry of External Affairs said that the summit will offer a chance to review BRICS initiatives and explore future collaboration.
