Patient Welfare Committee reviews facilities, resources at hospital

Manali MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur chaired a Patient Welfare Committee meeting in Manali on Tuesday to review healthcare services and discuss measures to improve patient facilities, focusing on hospital management, essential resources, emergency services and infrastructure.

Gaur directed officials to improve hospital arrangements and ensure better medical care. He said the government had been prioritising healthcare and was working to strengthen medical equipment, cleanliness and other hospital facilities.

He also stressed better utilisation of available medical equipment, medicines and resources. The meeting also discussed strengthening emergency services and basic infrastructure.

Manali SDM Gunjit Singh Cheema said the administration was committed to improving healthcare services at the Manali hospital. Earlier, Naggar BMO Dr Karn presented the income and expenditure details and briefed the committee about the hospital’s services and achievements.

Gaur said the meeting discussed ways to provide better healthcare facilities to people in the area. He said the state government was committed to providing quality health services at people’s doorstep.

He also directed officials to convene another Patient Welfare Committee meeting within a month to review progress.
