The popular 2006 comedy film ‘Malamaal Weekly’ is set to return with a sequel, with the makers officially announcing ‘Malamaal Weekly 2’.
The film will be directed by Amit Joshi, known for ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, and will feature Riteish Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav in the cast.
The sequel will also introduce a new ensemble featuring Elvish Yadav, Parineeti Chopra, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shirodkar.
The upcoming film is expected to follow the comedy-of-errors format associated with the original, promising another chaotic and entertaining adventure.
The original ‘Malamaal Weekly’, directed by Priyadarshan, was released in 2006 and became popular for its ensemble cast and comic storyline. The announcement of the sequel has generated anticipation among fans of the cult comedy.
