New Delhi, January 8
AAP chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed gratitude on Wednesday as the Trinamool Congress (TMC) announced its support for AAP in the upcoming Delhi elections. “Thank you, Didi. You have always supported and blessed us in both good and bad times,” Kejriwal said, referring to TMC leader and WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
In a separate statement, Kejriwal accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of instructing its seven Members of Parliament (MPs) to target the creation of fake votes in the New Delhi Legislative Assembly. “Let’s see how many applications for new votes come in the next few days,” he said, urging the public to remain vigilant. He added that Atishi ji, an AAP leader, has sought a meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner and hoped it would happen soon.
