Chandigarh, September 25
Facing criticism from opposition and her own party, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has retracted her statement suggesting the return of farm laws. “I am a BJP worker, and my opinions should align with the party. If my words disappointed anyone, I apologize,” she said in her post on X. Ranaut had earlier suggested that farmers should ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reinstate the repealed farm laws.
The BJP distanced itself from her remarks, with spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia clarifying that her statement was personal and not reflective of the party’s stance.
