Chandigarh, December 18
The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police have returned case properties worth over ₹13 crore, including vehicles, jewelry, household items, and other valuables from 583 criminal cases registered in the past year, Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said on Wednesday. DGP Yadav highlighted that over 100 lost smartphones, valued at ₹22 lakh, were traced and reunited with their owners through the CEIR portal, underscoring Punjab Police’s commitment to public service. The department continues proactive efforts to build trust and ensure justice for the community.
