US Vice President J.D. Vance will arrive in India on April 21 for a four-day official visit, his first since taking office. The trip will include a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, as well as cultural stops in Agra and Jaipur.
Vice President Vance will be joined by his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, their children, and senior US administration officials. The visit is expected to deepen strategic ties between the two nations and follows up on the commitments made during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Washington in February.
According to officials, the leaders will review the implementation of the India-US Joint Statement issued on 13 February 2025, and discuss regional and global developments of mutual interest, including trade, security cooperation, and emerging technologies.x
