India clinch 2 men’s 10 m air rifle silvers, 1 bronze

Rifle trio score 1,890.1 points for team silver before Dhillon and Patil add individual medals

Chandigarh, September 21

India won two silver and one bronze medal in the men’s 10 m air rifle events on Day 3 of the 20th edition of the Asian Games in Japan.

Rudrankksh Patil, Himanshu Dhillon and Parth Mane combined for 1,890.1 points to win the silver in the men’s 10 m air rifle team event. Rudrankksh scored 631.8 points, Himanshu 630.0 and Parth 628.3.

The People’s Republic of China won the gold with 1,899 points, a world record, while South Korea took the bronze.

Rudrankksh and Himanshu also qualified for the individual men’s 10 m air rifle final. Himanshu won the silver medal and Rudrankksh the bronze, while China claimed the gold.
