Shimla is hosting the two-day MSME Manthan Meet 2026, organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), aimed at providing a new direction to small industries and startups through finance, technology, and policy reforms.

The event, held on May 8 and 9, brings together representatives from across India, including industry leaders, financial institutions, and MSME stakeholders. It was virtually inaugurated on Friday evening by Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi.

The initiative focuses on strengthening the MSME ecosystem by addressing key areas such as market access, technology upgradation, financial sustainability, and policy reforms. CA Gyan Chand Mishra, Chairman of ICAI’s MSME and Startup Committee, said the program aims to provide practical support and a strong business environment for MSMEs and startups in a rapidly changing economy.

ICAI is also operating MSME clinics through its 186 branches nationwide, offering expert guidance to small entrepreneurs on business operations, finance, and compliance. Additionally, resource handbooks and policy-related information are being shared across states to help entrepreneurs benefit from government schemes.

The meet also includes skill development, management development, and technical sessions, designed to equip entrepreneurs with knowledge about regulations, incentives, and effective business practices.
