Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Monday visited several gurdwaras in Dirba Vidhan Sabha constituency to mark the 648th Parkash Purab of Guru Ravidas, emphasizing the saint’s message of equality and universal brotherhood. Cheema said Guru Ravidas’ teachings guide humanity on the right path and stressed the need to follow the truth as shown by the Gurus. He attended religious events in villages including Dirba, Kauhrian, Chhajli, Kanakwal, Gobindgarh Jejian, and Khokhar Khurd, where he extended greetings to devotees. The completion of Shri Akhand Path Sahib was observed, with Raagi Jathas performing kirtan. Local gurdwara committees honored Cheema with siropas and mementos for his participation.
