Free coaching planned for needy students after Teacher Bhawan completion.
Kullu , September 5
The Teacher Welfare and Building Committee is planning to provide free coaching for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and other competitive examinations to students, particularly those from underprivileged families, once the Teacher Bhawan in Kullu is completed.
DIET Jarad Principal Satish Jaspa, who attended a Teachers’ Day program organized by the committee as the chief guest, said the construction of the Teacher Bhawan, which had remained stalled for a long time, was now progressing at a faster pace.
Jaspa said the building would be completed soon and free coaching facilities would be made available to students. The initiative would benefit students from Kullu and nearby areas and reduce the need for families to send their children to other states for coaching.
He said the coaching would help students prepare for competitive examinations, receive quality guidance and contribute to their overall development.
During the program, organized on the eve of Teachers’ Day, teachers who had performed outstanding work in various fields were felicitated. Students who excelled in the committee’s ‘Banka School’ program were also honored.
Committee president Shyam Lal Handa said the organization was undertaking several initiatives for the welfare of teachers and students. He said the committee would continue working for students’ benefit.
A cultural program was also organized during the event.
