Winners from four states to receive incubation and mentorship support at IIT Delhi for technology-based solutions
Chandigarh: Four teams have won incubation grants worth a total of Rs 2 crore at the fifth edition of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026 for developing technology-based solutions in cybersecurity, healthcare, environmental sustainability and sports.
The winners were announced at the grand finale in New Delhi. QuantHunt from Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh; morphism from Raipur, Chhattisgarh; InnoBotix from New Delhi; and Somatrace from Hyderabad, Telangana, will receive incubation and mentorship support at the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi, to develop their prototypes into market-ready solutions.
Under the AI Living for India theme, QuantHunt developed an artificial intelligence-based cybersecurity solution to identify encryption vulnerabilities and help organisations prepare for risks associated with emerging quantum computing technologies.
The team morphism, competing in the Health and Education category, developed an AI system designed to help autistic individuals understand emotions by analysing facial expressions and other behavioural signals.
In the Environmental Sustainability category, InnoBotix developed Sentinel, a solar-powered AI device that uses cameras, radar and seismic data to detect wildlife approaching human settlements and provide early warnings.
Somatrace won in the Sport and Tech category with a wearable Internet of Things (IoT) training tool that measures spinal angles and load during training. The device is designed to help athletes and coaches in precision sports better assess injury risks.
The competition received entries from 648 cities across 28 states and seven Union Territories. The finalists were selected through a six-month process that included 184 design-thinking workshops across 135 cities, bootcamps, prototype development and pitch evaluations.
The top 20 teams received grants worth Rs 20 lakh, while each team member was awarded a Samsung Galaxy flagship smartphone. The event also featured two Community Choice Awards worth Rs 1 lakh each and a Digital Impact Award of Rs 50,000.
According to Samsung India, more than 50 per cent of the ideas submitted this year came from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The finalists also received guidance from Samsung representatives, startup founders and experts from FITT, IIT Delhi, to refine their hardware and software prototypes.
JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung South West Asia, said the programme aimed to connect technology with people’s needs and help young innovators turn ideas into practical solutions.
Launched in India in 2022, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow encourages young people to use science, technology, engineering and mathematics to develop solutions to community challenges. As many as 80,000 students have participated in the programme in India since its launch.
