ISRO’s EOS-05 launch reflects India’s growing space capabilities: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hailed ISRO’s successful launch of the GSLV-F17 mission carrying EOS-05, describing it as another outstanding achievement and a proud moment for the country.

In a post on X, Modi said the launch of EOS-05, described as India’s first imaging satellite from geosynchronous orbit, reflected the country’s growing excellence, innovation and capabilities in the space sector.

He also highlighted the expanding partnership between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and domestic industry, saying it was adding greater strength and scale to India’s space programme.

“The growing partnership between ISRO and Indian industry is adding new strength and scale to our space programme and expanding India’s capabilities across the entire space ecosystem,” the Prime Minister said.

The launch marks another milestone for India’s space programme as the country continues to expand its satellite and space technology capabilities.
