Over 160 students from 16 DPS schools showcase creativity, imagination and literary talent at the two-day national festival in Chandigarh.

Delhi Public School (DPS), Chandigarh hosted the Festival Literario 2026, the Inter-DPS National English Literary Festival, on August 21 and 22, bringing together over 160 students from DPS schools across the country to celebrate literature, creativity and imagination.
The festival, held under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society, featured 16 finalist teams selected from 107 schools that participated in the online preliminary rounds. The qualifying teams gathered at DPS Chandigarh for the inaugural ceremony on August 21, followed by on-site literary events the next day.
Former IAS officer, author and motivational speaker Vivek Atray attended the valedictory ceremony as the chief guest. Addressing the students, Atray appreciated their creativity and innovation and highlighted the importance of reading and retaining the human touch in an increasingly AI-driven world.
Saguna Jain and Hardeep Singh Chandpuri, prominent literary figures from the city, attended the ceremony as Guests of Honour.
DPS Chandigarh, Director Reema Dewan thanked the participating schools, teachers, mentors, organising committees and the Delhi Public School Society for their support. She also encouraged students to develop a lasting interest in reading and literature.
A special Book of Memoirs was signed by the director, chief guest, and guests of honour before the festival concluded.
R.K. Puram from DPS was declared the overall winner of Festival Literário 2026. The event concluded with students showcasing creativity, originality and confidence through a range of literary activities.
