Chandigarh, May 7
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the death of four individuals, including a raagi Singh, in a cross-border shelling incident at a Gurdwara Sahib in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir near the Line of Control (LoC).

In a statement, the Chief Minister identified the victims as Bhai Amrik Singh, Amarjit Singh, Ranjit Singh, and Ruby Kaur, who lost their lives in what he described as a “ghastly act of bombardment” by Pakistani forces targeting a sacred place of worship.

Terming the attack as “barbaric and condemnable,” Mann said it was tragic that innocent civilians were being targeted during such brutal acts. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and said the incident was a painful reminder of the human cost of unprovoked aggression.

“The loss is irreparable. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the Almighty grant them the strength to bear this tragedy and eternal peace to the departed souls,” the Chief Minister said.
