Annual Chandigarh Times Fashion Week brings runway glamour to The Lalit, with designers, models and celebrity showstoppers taking centre stage

Chandigarh, September 14

The city stepped into the fashion spotlight on Sunday as the annual Chandigarh Times Fashion Week unfolded at The Lalit, bringing together leading designers, models, celebrities and fashion enthusiasts for a day dedicated to style and glamour.

Hosted by Roohi Baweja, fashion and lifestyle influencer and fashion editor, the event featured an impressive line-up of designer showcases and celebrity appearances. Punjabi actor and singer Himanshi Khurana, actor and model Akanksha Puri, Bollywood actor and former beauty queen Urvashi Rautela, actor Avneet Kaur and actor-model Mugdha Godse among others added star power to the runway as celebrity showstoppers.

Baweja, who has hosted Times Fashion Week and several fashion events across Delhi-NCR and Chandigarh, has also been associated with prominent fashion platforms, including FDCI Couture Week.

An initiative of The Times of India, the fashion week was presented by The One – Elanor & Harmony, in association with the Indian Institute of Fashion Design (IIFD) and powered by FIMA Carlo Frattini.

The runway schedule began at 1 pm with designer Deepthi Reddy and MEEE MIII by MB, followed by Silky Bindra and Aakriti by Nandita at 3 pm. Shoppers Stop presented the 5 pm segment, while IIFD took the 7 pm slot. Designer Reynu Tandon, in association with The One, brought the evening to a close at 9 pm.

Throughout the day, the runway remained the focal point as models presented the latest collections, while celebrity showstoppers brought an added dose of glamour and excitement to the showcases.

Beyond the ramp, the event was equally about Chandigarh’s fashion and social scene. Guests arrived in carefully curated looks, with photographs, conversations and socialising adding to the lively atmosphere. The venue became a meeting point for the city’s fashion fraternity, influencers, designers, celebrities and style enthusiasts.

For Chandigarh’s fashion crowd, the annual event once again brought together fashion, celebrity and the city’s social scene, transforming The Lalit into a runway where there was as much to see among the guests as there was on the ramp.
