Widely regarded as one of Indian cinema’s finest talents, Boman Irani continues to enchant audiences with his powerful performances. In the much-awaited film Tanvi The Great, he takes on the role of Raza Saab, a reclusive musical virtuoso whose story adds depth and heart to the narrative.
Irani’s portrayal is said to be both nuanced and vital to the film’s core. Reflecting on his involvement, the actor shared, “The idea behind Tanvi The Great deeply moved me—it brought me to tears. I knew I wanted to be part of it in any capacity. That opportunity arrived in the form of Raza Saab, a character filled with childlike innocence and rare musical brilliance. I’m honored to be part of such a timely project, especially because my dear friend Anupam insisted on it.”
Director Anupam Kher also took to social media to express his admiration for Irani, saying,“Boman Irani is not only a PHENOMENAL actor but also a wonderful human being. Having a friend like him on the sets is an asset for life. When I narrated him just the idea of #TanviTheGreat he immediately said he will be part of our film. Tanvi The Great is scheduled to make its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, within the Marché du Film segment.
Directed byby Anupam Kher, Tanvi The Great boasts of music composed by Academy Award-winner M.M. Keeravani. It is a joint production by Anupam Kher Studios, NFDC, and the Lower Middle Class Corporation. The official release date is expected to be announced soon.
