Punjab Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh inaugurated multiple development projects in Ludhiana, collectively valued at over ₹120 crore, addressing critical infrastructure and waste management issues in the city. The projects include the construction of the Lohara Bridge over the Sidhwan Canal and the bio-remediation of accumulated legacy waste at the Jamalpur and Jainpur dump sites. These initiatives aim to improve connectivity and environmental conditions for Ludhiana residents.

Dr. Ravjot Singh, accompanied by Ludhiana South MLA Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal, launched the construction of the Lohara Bridge. The ₹12.5 crore project will enhance traffic flow in the area and address a long-standing demand of local residents. Speaking at the event, MLA Chhina highlighted that this project fulfills her pre-election promise to the constituency. Dr. Ravjot Singh also announced a ₹1 crore allocation from his discretionary fund for additional development works in Ludhiana South.

The minister, along with Ludhiana East MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal and MC Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal, inaugurated the bio-remediation project for the Jamalpur main dump site on Tajpur Road. This ₹100 crore initiative will dispose of approximately 19.62 lakh metric tonnes of legacy waste, freeing up 41 acres of municipal land. Minister Ravjot Singh emphasized that this project will alleviate the foul smell and unsanitary conditions plaguing nearby residents. The cleared land will be repurposed for community welfare initiatives.
