Chandigarh, November 25
Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), in collaboration with SAS Nagar Police, dismantled a criminal network operated by gangster Manjeet Mahal, currently incarcerated in Tihar Jail. Three operatives were arrested during the operation. The suspects, with extensive criminal records in Haryana and Delhi, were allegedly planning high-profile crimes in Punjab under Mahal’s instructions, said Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said. The police also recovered two .30 calibre pistols and 18 live cartridges from the arrested individuals. The Punjab Police reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating organised crime and maintaining public safety through coordinated efforts, the DGP said.
