 Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a high-level meeting on Monday to review the volatile security situation in Manipur, sources said. The meeting will be attended by the top officials  include National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, and Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka. Shah, who returned from Maharashtra election campaigns, conducted an initial review of the situation on Sunday. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday highlighted escalating violence in the northeastern state, where clashes between armed groups from opposing communities have caused fatalities and widespread disruptions.

The MHA announced the transfer of several critical cases to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to ensure effective investigation. Security forces have been instructed to restore peace and take strict action against individuals inciting violence. The ministry has urged the public to remain calm, avoid rumors, and cooperate with efforts to maintain order.
