U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is set to appoint Republican Congressman Mike Waltz from Florida as his National Security Adviser(NSA), according to media reports. Waltz, known for his strong support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been outspoken about countering China’s influence in the Asia-Pacific region. A loyal Trump ally, Waltz also serves as a colonel in the National Guard and has repeatedly emphasized the need for the United States to prepare for potential conflicts in the Indo-Pacific. Waltz recently won re-election to the U.S. House, representing Florida’s east-central district, which includes Daytona Beach.
