Punjab Police on Tuesday seized 5 kg of heroin, ₹3.95 lakh cash, and arrested three suspects linked to a trans-border narcotic network during operations in Ajnala and Amritsar Rural. “Amritsar Commissionerate Police delivered a major blow to cross-border drug smuggling networks through an intelligence-based operation,” said DGP Gaurav Yadav in a post on X, formerly Twitter. He added that technical leads played a crucial role in the investigation. An FIR has been registered under the NDPS Act.
