Chandigarh, September 28
A first-year LLB student at Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), identified as Akhil, tragically died after reportedly falling from the third floor of his hostel late Friday night, the police said. According to media reports, Akhil, a resident of Kinnaur, was rushed to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC), where he was declared brought dead. HPU Chief Warden RL Jinta also confirmed the incident, with staff members present at IGMC. A police team is on-site probing the matter.
