Mumbai, September 20

Festivals have a way of bringing people together, and Zee TV is taking that spirit to the screen with “Zee Rishton Ka Mela – Ganpati Special”, bringing popular actors from its shows together for an evening of music, dance, devotion and entertainment.

The special, premiering on September 20 at 6 pm, will be hosted by Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Paritosh Tripathi and will feature actors from “Vasudha”, “Tu Hi Re Dil Mein”, “Jagadhatri”, “Dilo Ki Ram Leela”, “Tumm Se Tumm Tak” and “Lakshmi Niwas”.

The celebrations begin with the Zee Kutumb coming together for Bappa’s aarti, setting the tone for an evening centred on devotion and celebration. Performances dedicated to Lord Ganesha will follow, alongside dance, music, games and candid moments that take viewers beyond the actors’ on-screen characters.

Among the highlights is a dance face-off between “Jagadhatri” actors Sonakshi Batra and Farman Haider, while Mishkat Varma and Aastha Sharma will also take the stage.

The cast of “Tu Hi Re Dil Mein” — Priyanshi Yadav, Simran Rawal and Abrar Qazi — will present a royal-themed performance, while Anuraj Chahal will deliver an energetic tribute to Ganpati.

For the actors, the celebrations have also offered a chance to share the festive spirit with colleagues they usually meet as co-stars on different sets. Sonakshi Batra, who plays Jagadhatri, said rehearsals and the dance performance with Farman Haider, Mishkat Varma and Aastha Sharma were among the most memorable parts of the shoot.

Priya Thakur, who plays Vasudha, said festivals provide an opportunity for the Zee Kutumb to come together and celebrate its bond with viewers.

For Niharika Chouksey, who plays Anu in “Tumm Se Tumm Tak”, performing Bappa’s aarti with her Zee family was a special experience, and she expressed confidence that viewers would enjoy the celebrations.

With familiar faces stepping out of their usual on-screen roles to celebrate together, “Zee Rishton Ka Mela – Ganpati Special” brings a festive touch to the Zee Kutumb, combining devotion with the easy camaraderie of a shared celebration.

“Zee Rishton Ka Mela – Ganpati Special” premieres on September 20 at 6 pm on Zee TV.
