New season features four musical Gurus, actor Shreyas Talpade as host
Mumbai, September 17
Zee TV on Thursday announced the return of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, with the new season scheduled to premiere on September 19 at 9.30 pm. The show will air every Saturday and Sunday on Zee TV and Hindi ZEE5, with a new format centred on Indian music and live musicianship.
The season was unveiled at a media press conference in Mumbai under the theme ‘Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan’. It will feature a 360-degree stage, more than 100 musicians and an expansive chorus ensemble.
Shankar Mahadevan, Kumar Sanu, Neeti Mohan and Javed Ali will serve as the musical Gurus, while actor Shreyas Talpade will host the show.
The new season will showcase musical traditions from different parts of the country through performances by emerging singers. Zee TV officials said the format has been expanded while retaining its focus on musical talent and authenticity.
