Air India Express to operate four flights a week; fares currently listed from around Rs 17,000 one-way

Chandigarh, September 15

Travellers from City Beautiful will have a direct air link to Sharjah again, with Air India Express set to resume services on the Chandigarh-Sharjah route from October 26, according to the airline’s current schedule.

The service is listed to operate four times a week, offering travellers an alternative to travelling to Delhi for a direct flight to the UAE. The airline’s current fare listings show one-way fares starting at around Rs 17,000, subject to availability and applicable conditions.

The Chandigarh-Sharjah flight is scheduled to operate from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, connecting the city with Sharjah International Airport.

The service is likely to benefit travellers from Chandigarh and neighbouring Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh travelling to the UAE for business, tourism, family visits or onward connections.

The Chandigarh-Sharjah connection had been discontinued earlier. Its scheduled resumption will provide an additional international travel option for passengers from the region.
