BJP protests over Naggar’s pending development issues
Manali, September 12
The BJP Naggar Mandal staged a protest in Naggar on Friday over various issues concerning the Manali Assembly constituency, with party workers taking out a rally and raising slogans against the Congress-led state government.
The protest rally moved from Naggar Castle to Naggar Chowk, where BJP workers highlighted what they described as the government’s failure to address long-pending issues in the region. BJP leader and former minister Govind Singh Thakur also participated in the protest.
Naggar Mandal president Thakur Das said the Congress government had completed four years in office but alleged it had not undertaken adequate development work in the area.
He said residents of Naggar had been demanding a separate tehsil office for a long time, but the demand remained unfulfilled. He also raised concerns over the poor condition of roads in the area.
Thakur Das alleged that people were facing difficulties because the government had neglected local issues. He said the protest was organized to draw attention to these problems and press for their early resolution.
