‘Aashiqui’ star Rahul Roy to grace Chandigarh musical evening today

Actor to be celebrity guest at ‘Dil Ka Aalam’ concert at Tagore Theatre; entry free

Chandigarh, September 13

Bollywood actor Rahul Roy will be the celebrity guest at ‘Dil Ka Aalam Musical Concert’, being organised at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh, on Sunday.

The musical evening, scheduled to begin at 5 pm, is being presented by JVAM Musical Group Regd. and Pathos Welfare League in collaboration with Chandigarh Sangeet Nat Academy, according to the event organisers. Entry to the concert is free.

The event will have Mrs Jyoti Kansal and Mr Adarsh Goyal as organisers, while Mr Prem Sagar Gupta will attend as the chief guest. Mr Param Chandel is the music coordinator.

RC Dass, Rahul Soni and Neena Bhatia are listed as guests of honour. The programme will feature musical performances as part of the evening dedicated to Hindi film music.

Roy, who made his Bollywood debut as the lead in Mahesh Bhatt’s 1990 musical romance “Aashiqui”, shot to fame with the film and went on to appear in films, including “Junoon”, “Sapne Sajan Ke” and “Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee”.

He also won the first season of the reality show “Bigg Boss” in 2006-07, adding another notable chapter to his career beyond cinema.

The Chandigarh concert is expected to bring together music enthusiasts for an evening of live performances, with Roy as the special celebrity guest.
