Roadies Rebirth auditions reach Chandigarh as OGs, NewGs gear up for battle

Six gang leaders and a two gang format bring fresh rivalries, strategic challenges and greater unpredictability to the show’s latest season.

The Roadies Rebirth audition journey reached Chandigarh on Monday, bringing aspiring contestants face-to-face with the show’s revamped format. The season features six gang leaders divided into two gangs, with OGs Nikhil Chinapa, Neha Dhupia and Prince Narula competing against NewGs Abhishek Malhan, Bani J and Baseer Ali.

The new format marks a significant change from the previous seasons. The six gang leaders will now compete through two teams, creating fresh challenges involving alliances, leadership, strategy and internal rivalries.

The Chandigarh auditions marked the second stop in the audition journey after the new format was unveiled in Delhi. Aspiring contestants gathered at Indradhanush Auditorium in Sector 5, Panchkula, to demonstrate their determination, resilience and ability to handle demanding challenges.

Ahead of the auditions, Neha Dhupia visited Chandigarh and participated in a bike rally with more than 50 bikers. She also interacted with members of the Rotaract Club and IBiker India. Later, Dhupia and Nikhil Chinapa met fans and young enthusiasts at CP67 Mall, adding to the excitement surrounding the auditions.

Dhupia said the new season would bring fresh challenges, more contestants, and a two-gang format. She added that the clash between the OGs and NewGs would raise the stakes and make the competition more intense.

Chinapa said the return of Roadies with the Rebirth format would introduce different mindsets and strategies. He said the OGs experience and the NewGs approach would create a new battle for supremacy.

Prince Narula said the season would feature a different level of competition, with the OGs and NewGs bringing their own styles to the game. He said the two gangs would face intense competition, with every decision having the potential to change the course of the contest.

Baseer Ali, who is returning as a gang leader after participating in the show as a contestant, described his comeback as a special moment. He said the new season would bring a fresh battle between the OGs and NewGs while allowing him to mentor the next generation of Roadies.

Abhishek Malhan, who is making his debut as a gang leader, said the show was about surviving the game as well as the tasks. He said leading a gang with two other leaders would bring new challenges and opportunities to establish his own style.

Bani J, returning as a NewG, said Roadies had changed significantly. She said the new faces, rivalries and unpredictable situations would make the season exciting, adding that contestants would have to earn the Roadies title.

The Chandigarh auditions are part of the show’s nationwide selection process. The next auditions will be held in Kolkata on September 10 and Pune on September 12.
