Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Saturday extended his greetings to teachers across the country on Teachers’ Day and highlighted their role in shaping students into responsible, capable citizens.

Sandhwan said education plays an important role in people’s lives, and teachers play a crucial role in shaping students’ futures. He said teachers guide students towards success and take pride in their achievements.

The Speaker also paid tribute to former President of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose contributions to the country’s education system are commemorated on Teachers’ Day.

He congratulated teachers who received state and national awards for their exemplary services and lauded their contribution to education.

Sandhwan highlighted the Punjab government’s efforts to improve public education, saying it had organized special international exposure visits for teachers to help them study advanced education systems and adopt best practices in schools across the state.

He said every child should have access to quality education so they can grow into capable and ethical citizens and contribute to the nation’s progress.
