Patiala, July 29
Patiala Police have arrested three persons in connection with a petrol bomb attack outside a house in Avchal Nagar, successfully solving the case following an investigation, police officials said.
Addressing a press conference, SP City Palwinder Singh Cheema said the attack took place on the night of the 25th outside the residence of Parminder Singh, alias Rubal. A written complaint regarding the incident was received by the police on the 27th, following which FIR No. 129 was registered at Anaj Mandi Police Station.
During the investigation, police found that Harvinder Singh, alias Jonny, held a grudge against Parminder Singh after a previous altercation between them. According to the police, Harvinder planned the attack with the help of two other youths.
“Harvinder Singh allegedly arranged a beer bottle filled with petrol and provided a motorcycle to carry out the attack. Harshjit and Parmeshar then threw the petrol bomb outside Parminder Singh’s house,” SP City Palwinder Singh Cheema said.
Police said all three accused have been arrested, and the case has been successfully solved. Further investigation is underway.
