Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has proposed September 21 as the swearing-in date for Chief Minister-designate Atishi, according to media reports. The proposal was made in a communication to President Droupadi Murmu. Meanwhile, the resignation letter of outgoing Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been forwarded to the President. Atishi, in her official letter to the Lt Governor, staked her claim to form the government but did not specify a preferred date for the swearing-in ceremony. She requested the Lt Governor to decide on the date, to which he proposed September 21.
