Shimla, May 15
Anupam Kashyap has imposed a ban on all forms of employee agitation and strike activity in the SEHB Society in Shimla district.
The order was issued under the provisions of the Himachal Pradesh Essential Services (Maintenance) Act, 1973. The order was issued to prevent disruption to essential services. According to the directions issued on Friday, employees of the SEHB Society have been instructed not to disobey any lawful orders given during the course of their duties.
The District Magistrate also directed that no employee should abandon work or remain absent from duty without a valid and reasonable cause. The administration warned that any violation of the order would invite legal action under the Essential Services Maintenance Act.
Officials stated that the order has come into effect immediately and will remain in effect until further instructions are issued by the district administration.
