Shimla, May 4
Panic gripped several schools in Shimla after authorities received a bomb threat via an anonymous email on Monday. As a precautionary measure, Dayanand Public School was evacuated, and students were safely sent home.
According to Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh, the threatening email indicated plans to target multiple schools in the city. Following the alert, police teams and bomb disposal squads were immediately deployed to the affected locations.
Search operations are currently underway across all identified schools. Officials have confirmed that no suspicious objects have been discovered so far.
Meanwhile, the cyber cell has launched an investigation to determine the origin of the email and who sent it. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm as precautionary measures continue.
