Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday called on Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Lok Bhavan to exchange New Year greetings, officials said. The Chief Minister was accompanied by his wife and Dehra MLA Kamlesh Thakur. During the meeting, Sukhu presented a bouquet to the Governor, while Thakur honoured Lady Governor Janaki Shukla with a traditional Himachali shawl and cap. They conveyed their wishes for peace, progress and prosperity for the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Several senior leaders also met the Governor to extend New Year greetings, including Revenue and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Public Works Department Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee president Vinay Kumar and MLA Sanjay Awasthi.
