India’s Olympic javelin champion Neeraj Chopra and his wife Himani Mor met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi on Tuesday. Modi said the meeting covered a range of issues, with sport featuring prominently in the discussion. In a post on X, the Prime Minister described the interaction as “great”, adding that conversations went beyond athletics while naturally returning to sport. The meeting comes as Chopra continues to be one of India’s most prominent sporting figures, widely credited with raising the profile of athletics in the country following his Olympic success.
