Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia urged party workers and citizens to fight against what he described as “dictatorship” in the country. Speaking after his release from jail, Sisodia criticized the BJP, stating that they are not above the Constitution. He claimed that many, including businessmen, are being harassed and jailed in fake cases for not supporting the BJP, as reported by the news outlet NDTV.
Sisodia emphasized that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is also in jail, symbolizes honesty and that a united opposition could secure his release within 24 hours. He referred to Kejriwal as the “charioteer” of their movement and expressed confidence that he will be freed soon.
The Supreme Court recently granted Sisodia bail after 17 months of incarceration, citing the right to a speedy trial. Sisodia also indirectly criticized the government over the handling of Vinesh Phogat’s disqualification and the broader allegations of harassment.
