Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital on Wednesday morning. In a statement, Dharmendra’s family said, “Mr Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time.” The family also expressed gratitude for the outpouring of concern from fans, adding, “We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”
Dharmendra, 89, one of Hindi cinema’s most beloved stars, has been a part of Indian film history for over six decades with iconic roles in films such as Sholay, Chupke Chupke and Satyakam.
