Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a 35-minute phone call with US President Donald Trump, stated that the United States had no role in the recent ceasefire understanding between India and Pakistan. Modi emphasised that the ceasefire was made possible because Pakistan itself had requested it.

PM Modi made it clear that the agreement was the result of direct communication between Indian and Pakistani military officials, without any external mediation.

The two leaders also discussed the ongoing Operation Sindoor, with Modi confirming that the operation remains active.
