Shimla administration reviews arrangements ahead of VP Dhankhar visit

A high-level coordination meeting was convened to review the preparations for the proposed visit of Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar to Shimla, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap here today. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various logistical and administrative arrangements, including the Vice-President’s itinerary, security protocol, traffic regulation, sanitation, availability of drinking water, medical facilities, and emergency response systems.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that the Vice-President is scheduled to arrive in Shimla on June 6 and will proceed to Solan district on June 7. He directed all departments to complete their responsibilities in a timely and coordinated manner, ensuring that every aspect of the visit is handled with diligence. Describing the visit as a matter of pride for the district, Kashyap urged officials to maintain a high standard of preparedness and to execute their tasks with utmost dedication.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police, Shimla, Gaurav Singh, Additional District Magistrate (Protocol), Jyoti Rana, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order), Pankaj Sharma, Sub-Divisional Magistrates Manjeet Sharma (Rural Shimla) and Oshin Sharma (Urban Shimla), Assistant Commissioner Devi Chand, along with senior representatives from the Municipal Corporation, Health Department, Public Works, Transport, and other line departments.
