In a major counter-drone operation, Indian Army Air Defence units successfully neutralized over 50 drones across multiple regions, including Udhampur, Samba, Jammu, Akhnoor, Nagrota, and Pathankot, according to the Indian defence officials. The large-scale engagement unfolded late last night following failed attempts by Pakistan to deploy swarm drones along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Borders. Army units responded swiftly using a combination of L-70 guns, Zu-23mm, Schilka systems, and advanced Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) technologies to intercept and destroy the aerial threats.
The operation marks one of the most significant drone neutralization efforts in recent months and highlights the Indian Army’s growing capability to tackle evolving security challenges posed by drone warfare. Officials stated that no damage was reported on the Indian side, and surveillance in the region remains heightened.
