In a significant anti-corruption move, the Punjab government has suspended the Deputy Commissioner of Sri Muktsar Sahib, Rajesh Tripathi, following serious corruption complaints. A spokesperson for the Punjab Government confirmed the action, underscoring the state’s “zero tolerance” policy toward corruption.
The suspension is part of broader efforts to hold officials accountable, in line with recent directives issued by the state government. These guidelines mandate that officers operate in a responsive and transparent manner, with feedback collected from the public and elected representatives, including MPs and MLAs.
