YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia, facing backlash over his controversial remarks on the India’s Got Latent show, has been issued a fresh summons by Maharashtra Police. He has been asked to appear on February 24 as part of the ongoing investigation, according to media reports.

Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has also reissued summons to India’s Got Latent creators, including Allahabadia and comedian Samay Raina, after they failed to appear before the panel. Citing personal safety concerns, prior travel commitments, and logistical issues, all creators had previously skipped the hearing. Allahabadia, citing death threats, requested a three-week postponement and is now asked to appear before the NCW on March 6.

The controversy has sparked a wider debate on moral values in the media, with critics arguing that digital entertainment is increasingly prioritizing shock value over ethical responsibility. The show’s brand of humor, often seen as crass and boundary-pushing, raises concerns about its influence on impressionable audiences and the normalization of vulgarity in online content.
