Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan extended greetings to the people of the state on Monday on the occasion of Sri Guru Ravidas Jayanti, emphasizing the saint’s teachings of harmony and brotherhood. Sandhwan said Guru Ravidas rejected all forms of discrimination and played a significant role in social reform. “His teachings remain eternal and relevant for all sections of society,” he said in a statement. He highlighted that Guru Ravidas, a revered social reformer and spiritual leader, considered service to humanity as service to God. His philosophy of equality and compassion is reflected in the 41 hymns included in the Guru Granth Sahib, Sandhwan added.
