Punjab’s Jalandhar Commissionerate Police successfully arrested two key operatives from the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang after a high-speed chase on Wednesday. “The police returned fire in self-defense when one of the suspects opened fire on the police team. One suspect was injured in the exchange and is receiving medical treatment, while the second was apprehended on the spot,” Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said. He said that the police seized four illegal firearms, a significant cache of live ammunition, and a car. This operation marks a significant blow to the criminal network involved in narcotics trafficking, arms trading, and extortion activities, he added.
Yadav reaffirmed the Punjab Police’s commitment to eradicating organized crime and maintaining peace and security across the state.
