Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, along with several cabinet ministers, paid obeisance at Gurudwara Tutti Gandi Sahib on the occasion of Mela Maghi. A large crowd of devotees gathered along the roads leading to the Gurudwara, with ministers offering prayers for the welfare of the people. The ministers who paid obeisance included Speaker Vidhan Sabha Kultar Sandhwan, New and Renewable Energy Sources Minister Aman Arora, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Social Security, Woman and Child Development and Social Justice Minister Dr Baljit Kaur and Sangrur MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer. They all prayed for the welfare of people at Gurudwara Tutti Gandi Sahib.
Langar (community kitchen) services have been running 24/7 since yesterday, catering to the massive influx of devotees. The event saw the organisation of a special horse fair at Ghora Mandi, where various animals, birds, and dog breeds were showcased by sellers. Security arrangements were robust, with the local police ensuring smooth traffic flow for the thousands of devotees arriving from various regions. Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Tripathi, Senior Superintendent of Police Tushar Gupta, and District Planning Board Chairman Sukhjinder Singh Kauni also participated in the event.
