50 donors donate blood at Manali camp
Manali, September 19
A one-day blood donation camp was organised at 15-Mile in the Manali Assembly constituency by the Young Welfare Club, Badagran Vihal 15-Mile, in collaboration with Rakt Ekatr Sangrahalaya and NIFFA, with 50 people donating their blood.
The camp was the first blood donation drive organised by the Young Welfare Club, which has previously undertaken plantation and other social welfare activities.
Club president Saransh Bauddh said 50 donors contributed to the successful camp. He said the club has been engaged in various social activities for the past year and thanked everyone who supported the event.
Dr Indu from the Health Department, Bran, technicians Tara Chand and Rakesh from Rakt Ekatr Sangrahalaya, Kullu, staff nurse Aditi from Raison Health Center and NIFFA Kullu district coordinator Nisha Thakur participated in the camp along with club members.
Zila Parishad member Jindu Devi attended as the chief guest, while Reeman Singh Thakur was the special guest. They honoured the blood donors with medals.
Bauddh said the club will organise a blood donation camp on the same date every year and expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful event.
