Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced four percent dearness allowance (DA) increase for government employees effective from January 1, 2023. The decision, made on the eve of Dussehra, aims to provide financial relief to state workers. In addition to the DA hike, Sukhu said that pending medical bills for government employees would be cleared immediately, and all arrears for pensioners aged over 75 would also be addressed. The Chief Minister also confirmed that salaries and pensions for October would be disbursed on October 28, ahead of the usual November payment schedule.
