Tourist footfall surges in Manali as people flock to the hills to escape Heatwave

Manali is witnessing a sharp rise in tourist footfall as people from the plains head towards Popular tourist spots, including Mall Road and nearby destinations, which are crowded with visitors enjoying the pleasant weather and the region’s scenic beauty.

With temperatures soaring across several parts of the country, tourists are increasingly choosing Himachal Pradesh as their preferred summer destination. Kullu-Manali, one of the state’s most popular tourist hubs, is currently bustling with domestic and international tourists seeking relief from the intense heat in the plains.

Adventure activities, especially paragliding in Solang Nala, are attracting large numbers of visitors. Tourists can enjoy the cool weather, mountain views, and various outdoor activities during their stay in Manali.

The increasing number of tourists has also led to traffic congestion in and around Manali. Long queues of vehicles are being witnessed on several roads, leaving commuters and visitors stuck in traffic for hours.

People in the tourism industry are optimistic about strong business in the last week of May, as they head to the mountains for relief from the intense summer heat. Hotels, eateries, and local shops are seeing a rise in tourist arrivals.

Tourists visiting Manali said the weather in the hills has provided them with much needed relief from the unbearable heat in the plains. Many visitors said that while stepping outside has become difficult in their hometowns due to high temperatures, the cool climate in Manali has made their trip enjoyable and refreshing.
